The sixth international workshop on human chromosome 1 mapping was supported by the Comprehensive Oral Health Center of Discovery at the University of Iowa (NIH/NIDCR P60-DE13076), the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the University of Iowa and the Division of Hemotology/Oncology in the Pediatrics Department of the University of Iowa and by Grant-in-Aid for Priority Area (A) “Genome Science” by Ministry of Education, Science, Sports and Culture of Japan.
